Microchipping

If your pet ever goes missing a microchip gives you the best chance of finding them.

The microchip is implanted under the skin between the shoulder blades. The procedure is simple and safe.

When a missing pet is found the microchip is scanned and contains a unique 15 digit code which is used to find the owner’s contact details on an online database.

In April 2016 it became law that all dogs in England must have a microchip and for the owner to register and keep the database up to date. It is not currently law that cats must be microchipped, but we would recommend it is done.

We cannot edit the details on the chip for you but we are more than happy to scan the chip and find out which database company you need to contact to change them.
