David Wilson
BVSc MRCVS
David grew up on a local dairy farm and studied veterinary medicine at Liverpool University, graduating in 1999. He worked in Cockermouth, then spent 18 months in New Zealand and Australia. He joined Craig Robinson Vets in April 2005. David enjoys general practice but has a particular interest in surgery.
Outside work David enjoys cycling, jazz and walking his two collie dogs, Tash and Sadie.
Mari Reay
BVM&S MRCVS
Mari graduated from Edinburgh in 2004 and joined the practice in 2005 after practicing in west Cumbria for a year. She is particularly interested in dairy cow health and productivity.
Mari is married to a dairy farmer, and has two children (May and Tom) and a Labrador (Bruno). She enjoys playing tennis in the summer.
James Brocket
BVMS MRCVS
James is a University of Glasgow graduate. He joined Craig Robinson Vets in 2013 having worked in Lancashire for the first two years of his veterinary career. Hailing from a dairy farm in Renfrewshire, Scotland, his key interests are cattle, especially cattle fertility, and surgery.
James says he loves the weird and wonderful, and the variety that mixed practice brings.
Outside work James plays rugby for Carlisle Rugby Club and loves spending time with his daughters. James walked every Wainwright in the year 2015.
Doug Quayle
BVMS MRCVS
Doug grew up on a local dairy farm and has worked in the district since graduating from the University of Glasgow in 2013. He enjoys all aspects of mixed practice but has a particular interest in small animal surgery.
In his spare time Doug attempts to keep active through sports, rugby, golf and squash to name a few. He also enjoys walking his dogs and visiting friends.
Jonathan Lomax
BVetMed MRCVS
Originally from Lancaster, Jonathan qualified from the Royal vet College, London in 1988. After working in Buckinghamshire, Shropshire and Yorkshire he came to Carlisle in 1995. He divides his time at work equally between pets and farm animals.
When not at work, Jonathan runs and cycles as much as he can - possibly more than is actually good for him!
Anne Wilson
BVSc MRCVS
Anne graduated from The University of Liverpool in 1999 and specializes in small animals. She gained her Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2016. Anne first worked at Craig Robinson Vets as Saturday morning job when she was still at school the early 1990s.
Outside work Anne enjoys road running, fell running, cooking and knitting.
Victoria Blain
BVMS MRCVS
Victoria joined Craig Robinson vets after graduating from Glasgow University in 2009. She loves working with both small and large animals. Vicky grew up on a dairy farm in Stranraer and has a particular interest in cattle fertility and diagnostic ultrasonography.
Outside work Victoria enjoys running, baking cakes and walking her Labrador Eddy, while balancing her three young children.
Louise Grierson
BVMS MRCVS
Louise graduated from Edinburgh University in 1990 and joined Craig Robinson Vets in January 2016. Originally from Whitehaven, which she says is the best part of Cumbria (and the world) she now lives with her husband and two teenage children on a dairy farm in Skelton.
Clinically Louise says she likes to provide a safe pair of hands for all routine dog, cat, cattle and sheep work.
Louise has a Collie dog called Ben, two cats called Squeek and Sweep... and about 200 cows. (They don't all have names).
Felicity Kerr
BVSc MRCVS
Felicity graduated from Liverpool University in 2012. She is originally from Plumpton and joined Craig Robinson in January 2018.
She enjoys all aspects of mixed practice with a particular interest in sheep work.
In her spare time she enjoys playing hockey for Penrith Ladies and walking her collie dog Digsby.
Caroline Goldsbrough
MVB Cert SAS MRCVS
Caroline graduated from University College Dublin in 2016 and joined the team in February 2018.
Caroline enjoys all aspects of mixed practice with a keen interest in surgery. She has completed a certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2021.
She comes from the Yorkshire Dales which inspired her love for animals and the outdoors. Outside of work she enjoys being active, fell walking and sailing with friends in the lakes.
Susie Quayle
BVMS MRCVS
Susie graduated from Glasgow University in 2014 and since then has worked in veterinary practices in Yorkshire, Northumberland and Australia before joining the Craig Robinson team in 2018.
She is originally from the Scottish Borders where she grew up on a farm. In Susie's spare time she enjoys walking her dogs Ziggy & Charlie and horse riding.
Emma Dunseath
BVMS MRCVS
Emma joined the team after graduating from the University of Glasgow earlier in 2020. She is interested in all aspects of mixed veterinary practice, but especially farm veterinary work.
Having grown up in Cumbria she has a love for the outdoors spending her time outside of work fell walking, horse riding and sailing.
Bethany Elliott
BVSc MRCVS
Bethany graduated from Liverpool University in 2020 and joined the Craig Robinson team in the same year.
Outside of work Bethany enjoys baking and travelling.
Simon Boothroyd
BVMedSci BVMBVS MRCVS
Simon graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2020 and then worked for 18 months in Stranraer. He is a local lad from Carlisle and is glad to return to his roots. He enjoys all aspects of mixed practice but has an interest in young stock health - he especially enjoys the challenge of a difficult calving!
Outside of work he likes rock climbing and camping.
Ellie Skelhorn
BVMedSci BVMBVS MRCVS
Ellie joined Craig Robinson Vets after graduating from the University of Nottingham. She enjoys a good mix of both large and small animal practice. Ellie has a particular interest in emergency medicine and farm fertility work. She is also keen to work closely with our clients to develop herd health, including mastitis prevention and control.
In her spare time, she enjoys fell walking, hockey and socialising with family and friends including fellow young farmers, having spent many years in the Wigton Young Farmers' Club.
Emily Brown
BVMS MRCVS
Emily joined the team in October 2022, after graduating from the University of Glasgow. Having grown up in the area she is excited to return as a mixed vet. Emily has a particular interest in emergency cases and dairy transition management and medicine. She also enjoys a lambing!
Outside of work Emily enjoys netball, fell walking with her dogs and travelling.
Simone Simpson
BVSc MRCVS
Simone graduated from the University of Bristol in 2022. After a short time working in a mixed practice in North Wales, she has returned to Cumbria and joined the Craig Robinson Vets team. She enjoys all areas of mixed practice. Her particular interests include small and large animal surgery, emergency medicine and pain management.
Outside of work, Simone is a keen scuba diver and dives both in the UK and abroad. She also enjoys baking. At home she has 2 Shetland ponies which she enjoys spending time with when not at work
Sandra Colbear
ATT - Vet Technician
Sandra joined the Craig Robinson team in 2021 and has trained to become an Approved Tuberculosis Tester (ATT) She enjoys getting out on farm and meeting all the farm clients.
Outside of work Sandra enjoys gardening and helping out on her family farm in Appleby.
Lizzie Ridley
Head Nurse
Lizzie qualified as a vet nurse in 2007 and joined Craig Robinson in 2008. She loves being a nurse and particularly enjoys caring for inpatients.
Outside of work Lizzie has a husband, two young children and three staffordshire bull terriers. When she manages to find some free time, she enjoys swimming and socialising with friends.
Emily Robinson
Deputy Head Nurse
Emily qualified as a vet nurse in 2009 and joined Craig Robinson in 2019 after relocating to Cumbria. She particularly enjoys emergency medicine and making sure any inpatients are well cared for. Emily gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Nursing and Anaesthesia in October 2022.
Outside of work Emily is kept busy looking after her son and enjoys walking the fells with her Jack Russell.
Myra Latta
Vet Nurse
Myra joined the practice in 2002 as a receptionist before qualifying as a nurse in 2005. As well as nursing she also enjoys her many roles such as ordering stock, health and safety etc.
Out of work she likes attending festivals, live music events and spending time with her two young children and Border Terrier, "Daisy Duke"
Charlotte Smith
Vet Nurse
Charlotte qualified as a vet nurse in 2015 and joined the practice in April 2018.
She loves all aspects of nursing especially assisting in surgery.
In her spare time Charlotte likes spending time with her friends and family. She also loves to spoil her two French Bulldogs Lennie and Lola.
Vicky Noble
Vet Nurse
After completing her training at Myerscough Vicky qualified as a vet nurse in 1999. After a break from nursing to start a family, Vicky joined Craig Robinson in 2013 as an evening receptionist before returning to nursing in 2017. Vicky enjoys running weight management and nutrition clinics.
Outside of work she has a variety of animals on the family smallholding and is a member of a local riding club.
Susan Brough
Vet Nurse
Susan joined the team in 2006 after she qualified from Barony College in the same year. She enjoys all aspects of nursing but has a special interest in surgery and inpatient care.
Outside of work she is kept busy looking after her two young children and following Carlisle United.
Rebecca Roe
Vet Nurse
Rebecca qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2015 and joined Craig Robinson in 2019.
Her main interests are anaesthesia, emergency cases and consulting.
In 2023 Rebecca completed the Oral care certificate.
Outside of work Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family. She has two dogs, Toby and Bella
Hannah Rumney
Vet Nurse
Hannah joined the team in 2018 as a Trainee Vet Nurse and qualified in 2021.
Outside of work she spends all her time with her two horses, Molly and Rory
Rosie Crabb
Vet Nurse
Rosie joined the team as a trainee nurse in October 2019 after completing her A-Levels and qualified as a nurse in 2021.
Outside of work Rosie likes to travel, spend time with friends and family and walking her Tibetan terrier, Flynn.
Anna Morley
Vet Nurse
Anna joined the team in September 2020 as a Trainee Vet Nurse after completing her GCSEs. She qualified as a nurse in 2022.
Outside of work Anna enjoys helping out on her dairy farm and is a member of Skelton young farmers.
Ellie Sharpe
Vet Nurse
Ellie started in August 2021 after completing her A-Levels. She enjoys learning about all aspects of nursing, in particular caring for the inpatients. Ellie qualified as a nurse in December 2023.
Outside of work Ellie loves looking after her small holding of goats, dogs, sheep and enjoys riding her horse Ruby. She also enjoys travelling and socialising with friends and family.
Molly Coward
Trainee Vet Nurse
Molly joined the team in October 2022. Molly has a big love for animals and wanted to continue this by training to become a nurse. In her spare time, she used to volunteer at her local animal rescue centre.
Outside work she enjoys walking with her dog Ben up the fells in the Lake District.
Anna Todd

Anna joined the team in September 2023 after completing her A-levels. She is looking forward to learning all aspects of nursing.
Outside of work she enjoys playing hockey, milking on her family farm and socialising with her friends. She is also a member of Wigton Young Farmers. She has a cheeky kitten called Ralph.
Olivia Brass
Trainee Vet Nurse
Olivia joined the team in December 2023. She is looking forward to becoming more experienced in Veterinary nursing.
Olivia enjoys spending time outside on the farm, with her horses Thomas, Tommy and Treacle. She also has a dog called Polar Bear. Her favourite time of year is lambing season and she enjoys having her own animals on the farm.
Sarah Alderman

Sarah joined the team in 2016 as a receptionist. She has multiple roles involving ordering stock, staff rotas and many more.
Sarah is married and has one young daughter. She enjoys going on holiday and baking.
She also has two cats, Storm and Piper, a family dog Suki and a lab collie cross, Rio.

Louise joined the team in January 2018 as a receptionist. She works alongside Maria as pet insurance administrator and also does our Happy Paws admin.
She is married to a dairy farmer and has two children. She also has a Labrador called Maggie, a horse named Abbie and her children have a pony, Dublin.
Maria Connell
Small Animal Secretary/receptionist
Maria joined the team in 2000 as a receptionist. She now is small animal secretary and pet insurance administrator.
Out of work her main passion is horses, family and a glass of lager.
Alice Mallinson
Farm Animal Secretary/receptionist
Alice is a farmer's daughter who joined the practice in 2017 as a Saturday/ evening girl and became a full-time receptionist in 2019. Alongside reception Alice also enjoys her role as farm secretary.
She has recently completed her Level 3 Business Administration Qualification. Outside of work Alice likes to work on the farm and is a member of Wigton young farmers. Her favourite time of year is lambing time.
Jackie Clifford

Jackie has worked at the practice for a number of years on our reception team.
She is married and has two grown up sons and four grandchildren whom she loves to spoil.
Ann Allan
Receptionist
Ann joined the practice in October 2008 as a receptionist.
She is married to James who is a builder and has two children. Outside of work she enjoys walking her granddog Bobby who is a west highland terrier and spending time with her Grandson Aidan. Ann also makes an amazing cake!
Michelle Athey

Michelle joined the Craig Robinson team in 2020 as a receptionist and administrator.
She is a farmers daughter from Alston who enjoys helping out on the family farm and showing cattle. In her spare time she enjoys riding her horse, Crystal.
Christina Storey
Receptionist
Christina works part time on reception, alongside looking after her two young children and husband.
She joined the team in Spring 2021 and enjoys the busy work environment. Christina also has an artistic eye and enjoys making crafts with her daughter.
Jack Hargraves

Originally from Derbyshire, Jack moved to the Lakes in 2016 with his family.
The step-son of a farmer, Jack joined the team in October 2021 and works on Reception full time. In his free time, he enjoys playing cards, reading books and playing videogames.
Christine Williamson
Receptionist
Originally from the Scottish Borders Christine has previously worked in a large mixed referral practice for 8 years, before making the move to Cumbria in 2021.
In her spare time, she enjoys baking, horse riding and fell walking in the Lake District.
Sam Clark
Receptionist
Sam joined the team in April 2022 as a full-time receptionist.
She is a keen member of Wigton Young Farmers and has taken the role of social secretary for 2022. In her spare time, she also enjoys spending time riding her horses, Jack and Barney, and enjoys going out with friends.
Louise Graham

Louise joined the team in 2022 and works part time between both surgeries.
Outside of work Louise enjoys singing and being on stage. She is a gamer and enjoys reading a historical drama.
Caroline Colbear

Caroline joined full time in 2023.
Outside of work, Caroline enjoys walking the Wainwright fells, relaxing on holiday, running and baking.
She also has a black and white cat called Roxy.
Fiona Bell

Fiona works part time between both our surgeries and joined the team in October 2023.
Outside of work Fiona enjoys walking her dogs Sam and Charlie, especially in the Lake District. She also enjoys spending her spare time, with her grandson.
