Vaccinations

Puppies are vaccinated from eight weeks of age. The primary course consists of two injections given two to four weeks apart. The second injection should always be given after ten weeks of age. An annual booster is required to maintain immunity.

Dogs are vaccinated against distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, leptospirosis and parainfluenza.

If your dog is going into boarding kennels or attending training classes we also recommend vaccination against kennel cough. The vaccine should ideally be given three weeks or more before the risk period but will still of benefit if given later than this. Many kennel owners insist on kennel cough vaccination. An annual booster is needed to maintain immunity.
