Starting from 9 weeks of age, kittens should be vaccinated with their primary course of immunisations. This consists of two vaccinations three weeks apart and then annual boosters from then on to maintain immunity. Contact with other cats should be avoided entirely until a week after the second vaccination to avoid any infection before the cat builds immunity.
